Let's get Animating!

Introduction to stop-motion animation, detailing the history of the technique, as well as guidance on how to create your own stop-motion films. 

 

Styles can include the use of:

Silhouettes, 

Paper cut outs, 

Modelling clay, 

Lego,

Live action (people), 

The possibilities are endless...

 

Activity sheets and cut-out materials will be provided for an interactive and historical understanding of inventions such as the zoetrope and thaumatrope.

Before your session, we would love you to create your Animation Toolkit and bring it to the lesson. 

Animation Toolkit

Your Animation Toolkit will allow you to continue to learn and Animate using the tools, equipment and software (Mobile App). 

Bring the following to the lesson:
